One of the first times I remember literally jumping with excitement as I saw this scene coming together. My friend and I climbed down a huge cliff-side to get to this beach for sunset. I had gone down there with the idea of getting a long exposure of the waves with the bridge in the background. The sun was getting lower on the horizon and the light was beautifully soft and warm, I had gotten the shot I came for and was just enjoying the view when I heard my friend yelling at me! I scrambled over some rocks to try and find her to see what she was yelling about. As I climbed over the rocks and looked up I was in shock to see a baby seal sitting on the bottom of this rock! I immediately slowed my movement and edged closer to the rock getting into position to get the shot. As I moved a little closer, the seal started moving up the rock towards the top. Standing still now, trying not to spook him, I waited and watched as this little guy scooted up to the top of the rock. He reached the top right as the sun was hitting the horizon, the light was absolutely perfect, and for about 30 seconds this seal struck a pose as if he knew he was going to be the star of my photo. Never have I had so many things fall into place this spectacularly.
